We are reliable informed, or are we? that the word “GOLF” is derived from this snippet:
Gent’s Only, Ladies Forbidden. Can anyone confirm this?
This site has been devised to promote and publish amateur golfer’s views, save golfer’s money! publish thier needs, ideas, results, rule changes, publish a winner’s roll of honour and ask our visitors to send us course reviews, not of your own course, it must be a visited course with dates so other golfer’s can properly asssess conditions at time of year, etc.
Local Golfing News. Also we will promote and publish golfing activities and events from around the region through our events calendar. The site also offers any golfer to communicate his/her thoughts and share them.
Golf Clubs! Please listen. I am a golfer, not an ATM Machine. I play golf for my own pleasure, maintain my fitness and for the companionship of like-minded decent people who have a love of the game / sport. I pay good money to join a Golf Club, then pay out more and more throughout the year playing for my club in the various teams. You must in my opinion, start looking for other forms of income, for the sake of the Club’s future, and it’s members pockets!
Golf Clubs: to look after your members If you want to continue taking money from them. I want to feel valued, not another member who is added to the pile, once paid. ( I lose respect for a club that accepts (for example) the new cleats on shoes, a complete rip-off and a danger to golfer’s. I have slipped 3 times 2011) a complete retragrade step in my opinion. Have your say, here >
Golf Clubs! are now Businesses and it is their job as professionals to raise income for their club, should they be looking beyond Player/Social Membership to create other forms of club/social events income?
I love this game and the kind of people it brings together. Ideas for raising money? have you any?
We all must do whatever it takes to maintain the etiquette, discipline and comradery, that golf currently offers.
